Did the weigh in this morning 160.0. Gained a 1/2 pound, but looking back I cheated a little almost every day.

Goals for this week:
1. No Coke! (I did good on this one last week except at Outback, but it was my birthday dinner.
2. Perfect eating at least until Saturday (Mom will be in town)
3. Some form of exercise everyday.

By the way, the goals are screwed up today, but starting Monday...

This morning my weight was still the same as last week. I'm hoping today doesn't ruin that. Tonight will be a bad dinner because Eric and I have a sitter and will be going out by ourselves for the first time! I haven't decided where we are eating yet. I'm thinking either Outback or El Vaquero's. I think we're going to go back to the sporting goods store and check on the treadmill situation too. I just want to get the equipment in here soon!

Bad dinner, but Friday night just felt like pizza night. Didn't exercise either was just so tired when I got home from work. Seriously, it would be easier to motivate myself to exercise if I could get 7 or 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night. I shouldn't use that as an excuse though. I just didn't do it.

So tired today. Last night I had baby duty and we were up from 2:30 a.m. to 3:45 a.m. and then back up at 6. I'm hoping I'll feel better when I get to work because I'd like to try to do some exercise today.

I went to Starbucks this morning. I actually caught myself starting to nod off in the car, so I had to get some sort of pick-me-up.

I'm not looking forward to weighing in this week. I'm doing so bad at this. I'm almost embarassed that my friends are keeping me accountable. I wish I was the superstar diet and exerciser that I was 18 months ago. I guess alots changed since then. I need to not give up and just keep plugging away. Even 1 pound a week will eventually get me some where. If I don't take off some poundage soon I'm going to have to buy more clothes. I only have 3 pair of work pants that fit!

Wish I would have got more water in, but at least I exercised!

I had a very stressful day at work. I should have turned down the lunch offer, but I was feeling really overwhelmed and needed to get out of the office, so I went with co-workers rather than staying in and eating the lunch I brought. I didn't do too bad though. I didn't get a coke. The cashew chicken was not nearly as good as the Chinese place by my house, so I kind of picked at it. I ate all the veggies and cashews, some chicken and hardly any rice (since I wasn't a fan of the sauce).

I worked until 6:30 p.m. at which time I had to go to Eric's office to pick up Grace. He went to get her at 6 and then took her back to his work since he needed to stay late too. I got there about 7 and had to finish feeding her before coming home. Once I got home I just got a sandwich and Grace fell asleep at 8:00. We sat on the couch and I watched a little TV and then got up to give her a bath and bottle at 9:00 p.m. She went to bed at 10 and I was exhausted, so I followed at about 10:30.

Not a good day for the diet, but I don't really regret it. I should have skipped the icecream, but I wanted some comfort food. I'm so, so tired.

Actual - 3 sets 15 of donkey kicks (for butt) and side leg lifts for each side. I didn't realize that we had moved the basement DVD player upstairs when we were trying to sell the TV at the yard sale, so I couldn't do my video in the basement. Eric was watching TV upstairs, so I improvised and did other lower body exercises. I'll try to get Eric to move the DVD player back downstairs this week or weekend.

Comments
Originally planned to come home, feed Grace, then fix dinner and exercise during happy awake time, then go to grocery store when Eric got home and Grace took her evening nap. However, the daycare didn't do the normal schedule today and Grace wasn't due to eat until 7:00 p.m. instead of 6:00, so we went straight to the Grocery. Now I have to wait until she goes to bed to do the video. Luckily nothing good on TV tonight :)

Diet wasn't an issue today. Very happy about that. I'm hoping I'm getting back into the swing of things although I am not looking forward to struggling through the first bout of PMS.

Today's weigh in 159.5! Yeah!

If my first post would have saved you would have known that I actually planned on Chinese for lunch. Just a craving and I had lost weight, so I felt ok about it. Afterwards, it wasn't as great as I hoped. Now I think I can be good the rest of this week until Saturday when Eric and I are going out to dinner for my birthday.

My goals for this week include no Coke and some type of exercise every day. I made room in the basement for the treadmill, so I'm hoping they call this week and we can buy it and get it here soon. I even brought down a seat/plaything for Grace, so she can sit down here when I exercise.

This was a hard day. I was starving for breakfast, so we did McDonald's but instead of my usual McGriddle I voted for the BEC Bagel. I hoped a bagel was better than a biscuit. Lunch was at Magic Planet which just had a pizza buffet, so not really any options. I did skip any kind of cake or ice cream though, and also the coke, although I did get a glass of Sierra Mist which probably still has calories. I was hungry when we were ready to leave, so I looked for a snack at the gas station and decided on peanuts rather than a candy bar or chips. I picked the Tendercrisp sandwich at Burger King when I saw the sign and pulled up. Later when I actually looked at the menu, I realized the Chicken Whopper might have been a better choice. I barely ate any fries though and the sandwhich was huge, so I only ate 1/2. Overall, not too bad. I did make concious choices.

Saturday - Week 3, Day 7

At least I only ate 3 meals. Should maybe have skipped the chips and dip at Grandma's but I hadn't really ate breakfast and there were no more choices. At dinner, I couldn't pass up the cheesefries, but I did order light dressing for my salad. I didn't order chicken, but sirloin is a lean cut of beef, so I went with that. At least no Coke!

Also, It's hard to get enough water in while traveling.

Thank goodness it's Friday. This has been a long week. I haven't even left for work and I'm already craving some Starbuck's but I must resist. There's about a 90% chance we'll be eating dinner on the road tonight, so I need to be as perfect as I can until then.

I'm putting my plan for today up here, but this won't be updated again until Sunday night or Monday.

Didn't do too bad. Ordered chicken, skipped coke and just had a few french fries. Didn't even realize I forgot the sit-ups until Saturday.

Really wanted to get Starbucks this morning, but the girls talked me out of it. Must stay strong.

Also, have been thinking about the weekend. Here are my weekend goals, since I won't be able to just have 1 free day:
1. No coke...period.
2. If eating out, order a chicken dish.
3. No dessert, except 1 small piece of cake (no icing) and possibly some ice cream at Ashton's party on Sunday.
4. No real opportunity to exercise, but do 25 sit-ups on Friday and Saturday night (no excuses, there).
5. Remember I'm weighing in on Monday.

At least I managed to eat perfectly. Must be sure to do sit-ups while traveling.

I feel much better today. I have to take Grace to the doctor this morning, so I only have a half day of work. I should still be able to eat ok though.

Weigh-in yesterday was 162.5, so another 1/2 pound. Not great, but if you look at my week, what did I expect. I weighed this morning after a day of sickness and not eating and it was 160.0. I'm going to keep my Sunday official weigh in and hope that those other 2 pounds will stay off this week and make my numbers next week, really look good. Although, I'll be out of town all weekend, so I'll have a Monday weigh-in next week.

Perfect day with the exception of forgetting to cook veggies at dinner and I wanted to get in one more bottle of water.

I think what screws me up is the break in routine. Yesterday Eric worked late, so I picked up Grace and when I got home didn't feel like cooking, so I had Eric bring home pizza. Today, Grace was sick, so I had to leave work early to take her to the doctor. The key is plan, plan, plan. When I get my food together for work the night before, I need to go ahead and get stuff for dinner out too. Defrost meats, etc. Tomorrow will be my free day and then I'll be starting up again Sunday.

None. I've been thinking alot about this though and may have something worked out. I'm going to discuss buying a treadmill with Eric (we're getting a really large tax refund). I also want to buy more dumbells. I can do my entire upperbody workout (BFL style) with the appropriate dumbell weights. If I have a treadmill at home and weights I could get by with only 1 or 2 trips to the gym per week and just do upper body, abs, and cardio at home. I could even do 1 lower body workout with the Pilates DVD and the other on machines at the gym. We'll see how that goes.

Day 9

Weekend Recap
So Saturday and Sunday weren't great. Saturday I didn't eat until lunchtime around 12:30 p.m. I got Chinese (Cashew Chicken & Crab Ragoon). On a good note, I had pink lemonade rather than Coke. Dinner was at Will & Samara's. I had 1 1/2 cheeseburgers and some fries, topped off with Cherry Cheesecake. I also had a glass of coke at dinner. I think I drank maybe 2 bottles of water.

Sunday was really bad. I didn't manage to eat a good breakfast before we left for church, but I was hungry and we stopped at McDonalds. I got a McGriddle which is about the worst thing for you on McDonald's menu. We also didn't stop for lunch and I hadn't really planned a meal, so I just ate some pizza rolls. I did have an apple for a snack around 3:00. We ordered wings from BW3's that we picked up at the start of the Superbowl. I ate some of those and washed them down with a Coke. The pizza arrived at half time and I gave in and ate a piece of that as well. Towards the end of the night I gave in and had another Coke, so yeah, that was bad.

I had good intentions today, I even took all my food to work. But then there were people there. That's right, real live people that could talk back when I spoke to them. And then 2 of them asked me if I wanted to go to lunch and did that nicely prepared meal in the refrigerator call to me? No, I just said, "Sure" and to the mall we went. Can you really blame me? Then I got the whole, oh well, I already blew it mentality, so today's a bust. The only good thing? I'm down 1/2 pound. Not great, and I probably gained it back today, but it was a step in the right direction. Tomorrow will be better, I promise.

Exercise may be the hard thing today. It's after 11 and I've already showered for today. I really need to give Zeus a bath during my next break where Grace is fed and awake, since he has a vet appointment at 3:30 p.m. and his fur is all sticky and hard where he spilled a Coke on his head last week. I need to be strong and even do it this evening if I don't get it done before our vet appointment.

I'm also really craving some Chinese food. I'm trying to hold out and maybe I'll go get it for lunch tomorrow.

Dinner was very yummy, probably not great for me, but I picked chicken, so I give myself points for that. I also only had a water to drink, no coke, and I skipped desert. I got the 3 course combo thing, but asked them to leave off the 3rd course. I didn't get around to exercising either. Bad me.

I can tell this is starting to work because I'm getting that familiar "hungry" feeling between meals. I don't know why it's different than when I eat junk food, but it almost feels healthy. It's like I take in good food, digest it quickly and then want more. I feel like I've had a great week so far. I'm not having any real urges to cheat today, until I just thought about some yummy Chinese food. Anyway, my plan for the weekend is to not have an actual "free day." I'm going to try to eat reasonably. I want to make something good for dinner on Saturday night, that I can take for lunch on Monday. Maybe I'll get my Chinese on Saturday. Sunday evening is the superbowl and we're ordering wings and pizza, so I'm sure I'll be bad then. Ok, well I'm going to go see if I can get me a snack before Grace decides it's time for her next meal.

Exercise
Plan to do Pilates video for Buns and Thighs. Done 2:40 p.m. Wow! I really felt this one working. I was actually able to do all the exercises (unlike the Ab video which my abs aren't quite strong enough to do them all yet). I really felt the burn especially in my outer thigh, hip area. GWO girls may want to figure out how to burn this DVD for your personal use.

I'm back! Big temptation today will be lunch. I'm meeting an old co-worker for lunch out. The plan is to get some type of chicken dish or salad. I told her I wanted to go someplace healthy though and she's skinny, so maybe that combination will help me resist getting somethig not so good for me.

Yeah! A good day. Just missed my morning snack and am hoping to get that 5th bottle of water in before bed.

Day 3

Diet
7:10 a.m. - Protein Shake & Apple
11:15 a.m. - Chicken Breast, Rice, & Carrots
2:15 p.m. - Protein Shake & 1/2 Bag Lowfat popcorn
6:15 p.m. - Seasoned Ground Turkey mixed with brown rice and FF cheddar cheese (no veggies, baby was crying so I didn't get a salad made)
10:00 p.m - Cookie Dough

Water - 4 bottles

Exercise
Plan is to do upperbody with weights and with the exercise ball. Done at 1:45 p.m. I should probably write out an actual plan though, so it's a bit more structured.

Today might be a little tougher. Yesterday I took a morning nap with Grace until 10:00 and then got to be productive the rest of the day. Today we have an appointment with the daycare at 9:30 a.m. I've already showered, so I can't exercise before the appointment, and I'm tired, so I'll need to nap during one of the afternoon naps. I just need to be sure I make time for exercise today. Food should be ok. I made enough chicken and rice last night for lunch today, so I just need to heat it up.

I had a big temptation today that I barely resisted. Since I was out visiting Grace's daycare this morning, and then stopped by her doctors office to drop off a form I need signed, I missed my morning snack. So by 11:00 a.m. I was hungry. I really wanted McDonald's. I actually pulled into the parking lot. The drive through line was long, however, so I just drove around the building and back out. I went straight home and warmed up my chicken for lunch. Maybe it didn't taste quite as good as those french fries and a Coke, but I didn't cheat! Yeah me!

Ok, now I did cheat. When I was trying to get Grace to sleep, all I could think of was the log of cookie dough sitting in my freezer. I was supposed to eat some cottage cheese and yogurt, but it just didn't compare. I gave in and now I feel slightly sick. Too much of a good thing. I really wanted a Coke too, but managed not to give in to that.
